Yes they should but that can be driver dependant also. Not everyone is a track rat so the results aren't always what they should be.
To give you an idea of the prep. On my second pass I spun bad and coming up return road the tractor was out prepping the track again. 😎

There is a reason that @Hpindy , oil burner, SrtDemon and Markp make the trip.
It rained one night and the cars were outside. When they ran they couldn't get traction. When the second one spun my phone rang it was the owner. He told me that because of the rain when they launched water was dripping off the car and they were running through their own water. So he suggested they make a couple of hits on the 1/8 mile track to clear out the water.
He will also hold is back from making a pass if he is about to prep for their promod to test or some others. So we can run on fresh prep. I guess if you show up every weekend there are perks. LOL
Well I was watching BMason on the YouTub last night. Very cool to get a call out from him for beating his record. Which was a 10.08 back in January. It was cool to get congratulations on air.😎😎
