I have a 2018 Durango R/T with a tune and Cold Air Intake. If I could afford it, I would trade in a heartbeat!

Met Jim before I ever bought my Challenger. Big guy but very low key and very nice guy. We started talking cars and when I walked away I knew that was the place I was going for a tune after blower install. When I went to shop a awhile later he showed me the whole place and projects. I saw the 1st Hellcat powered jeep in the country they were still doing. And 1st startup of his new twin turbo jeep that they'd had been working on for a year after setting record with previous one. Definitely good people.

What I would really like is a JGC Trailhawk with the Hellcat Motor in it. That would be an awesome daily driver that could do mild off roading/hunting when you wanted to.

@04Ram2500Hemi - anything other than ground clearance and tow hooks missing from the Trackhawk that would make the Trailhawk that much better of a platform for off-roading?

I'd love more power in my daily too, but at some point, the available rubber and axle strength will be the limiting factors in any off-road vehicle.

FWIW - the guy who built the Hellcat Rebel "TRX" broke both front and rear axles in the same 1/4 pass.:ROFLMAO:

You basically said it, more ground clearance. I’m sure the 5.7L would be plenty in the Trailhawk (I have the 5.7L in my Power Wagon and it does a great job), but the Hellcat would be a blast!

I've been checking out the current Durango SRT's, they are more in line with my current financial means and I need 6-seats for the family. It seems somewhat obvious that Dodge is going to price the Durango Hellcat in the same general territory as the Trackhawk, so maybe I'll get the SRT for now and look for a used Durango HC in a the years ahead.

I don't think we'll get a factory HellCat Durango. I'd love to be wrong, believe me. Who exactly are the people buying TrackHawks? Jeep loyalists? Do they prefer Grand Cherokee styling over Durango or is it the ol 470hp vs 707hp argument? (...and All Wheel drive). 😁🍻😂🇺🇸

Now is a great time to buy FCA products. Lots of discounts to be had if you're patient and stick to your guns on pricing and budget. My 20' Durango SRT was stickered for $69k. I got it for $59k. Heck, I'm seeing used 18's with 15k plus miles being advertised for sale in the lower to mid 50's.

I have a 2018 Durango R/T 5.7 Hemi with a CAI and a tune. It gets up and moves. The SRT Durango was about $18K more than the R/T.

With the launch of production rumored to be ~8-9 months out, I would watch for a possible reveal sometime between April (NY Auto Show) and August (Woodward). Keep your eyes and ears open, test mules should be appearing here and there in months ahead.

I made the same decision. Could have had a leftover '17 for a steep discount or order an '18 R/T @ invoice or the SRT @ MSRP.
Just couldn't justify the extra $18 - 20K for the 392 in a vehicle that's the designated dog hauler. Plus, the Cat is sitting right next to it for those times I need to cut loose !
