...and, you want as much of the contaminants in suspension in the oil before draining it. hotter oil and draining asap after shutting engine off does this the best
So basically you drive around and get the oil hot then drain the oil since it drains faster. So when it is cold I already did the first part earlier, car was hot and all the oil drained to the pan. All my oil is in the pan since it has been draining from the top of the engine for a longer period of time. When it is hot and you change the oil there would be more of a chance some has not drained from the top. Lets also not forget when it is cold you are not dealing with hot oil
Yes, catch can on passenger side, breather on oil fill port, oil cooler, drain plug, and filter. Let everything drain together before I put plug/filter/oil cooler plug in

Not hot, but warm. Viscosity makes a difference - you should never change oil on anything with the oil cold. Not saying I haven’t done it, but if you’re trying to get the last drop… warm
It’s a 1 way valve, so in order to release any “pressure” on that side, should unscrew it. Depends on how particular you are - @16GoManGoHC2 drops his pan every oil change and pulls the valve covers 😉

My oil has been getting changed so often that there's really no difference between what's coming out and going in. The filter has always been free of any particles.
