Make sure the oil got changed after the fix. The oil has to be contaminated with a shit load of fuel.

Yes it was changed even before they put in the 1700s. And I will get that changed in 1000 miles.

Car is running great now. Tuner is dialing in the 93 tune first. That will then in turn help with the e85 tune. So all along that intermittent smoke out the tailpipes was from a failing injector. Then the injector went completely bad.

Cost of e85 way cheaper and makes up for it. 93 is $2 more a gallon here

1700’s are a big injector for gasoline and idle quality on gasoline, 1300’s are the go to ID flex fuel setup injector. How much boost you running? Easy swap pulleys or??
I’ve drowned starters in fuel, coolant, and NEVER had an issue with one??? WTF on that one from your mechanic.

Still doesn’t make sense on how fuel got on/in the starter. Crazy the car ran at all leaking that much fuel out of an injector

and not burn to the ground...that's a ton of fuel leaking under the hood..
