Reload is not a silicon based sealant, it is silica, the same properties of ceramic coatings. It does not add mils of thickness, you're lucky to get mils from a true ceramic based coatings, not a spray and wipe product.
True coatings can last many years, depending on the product.
For free sap, use isopropyl alcohol or hand sanitizer.
Correct. Real "ceramic" [its not really] needs to be baked and will last several years. I get written warranty w free touch ups for five years. And you saw the photos of the Dust Brown / Pitch Black charger Hellcat and if that coating can stand up to that it can stand up to anything. For most spray type products ceramic is now a buzz word. Put it on a can of dogshit and folks will pay an extra dollar.
I go out of my way to be careful not to park even my daily driver under or near any kind of tree…especially a pine tree. Stuff falls out of trees constantly. If you look on the ground or pavement under a tree, you can see the amount of debris it drops. You can’t believe how hard an impact an acorn makes! Wind will actually blow them several feet out of a tree. Either that or squirrels throw them at cars on purpose! Do not park your nice car under a tree! Just don’t do it.
If it’s just a sap mist that make the surface feel rough, as opposed to blobs of sap, clay bar worked great for me. Finish was glass smooth afterwards.

Can you hook up a hose to one of your house faucets with hot water, that can then route outside? This way you could get plenty of hot water to use along with a towel to rinse these spots away?
