Kind of
They have their Camry/Corolla/Prius which occupy the 20k-30k range
But shopping SUVs with the wife, TRD Pro Sequioa was 85k at a dealership. Kick ass Orange color etc. Loved it. Just didn't think it was 85k (and I believe there was a markup on it but no way to tell) Sticker was on the seat upside down and a tag hanging from the mirror.

Neighbor bought a Tundra with the hybrid TTV6. Pretty slick truck but it was also north of 60k he said.

That seems really expensive to me for a Toyota.

I never really looked too hard at them before as I am not much of an Asian car buyer but we decided to open up about everything and see what we really like.
We do like the Sequoia but not at that price. Thats Denali money and we both thought the Denali was a nicer SUV.
When I was looking to trade the Ram diesel for a 1/2 ton pickup, I was looking for a V8 NA truck. Ram, Ford, GMC had the same trucks from 10 years ago with some styling changes.

The Tundra seemed like a different truck that was current with the technology that we wanted. Downfall was that it was a twin turbo V6 with the hybrid.

After driving it, my mind was changed. With 450 hp and 600 ft lbs of torque it soon became a no brainer.

After about 7K+ miles we both really like the truck and it's our daily driver. Great for traveling or just around town.

It was just north of $80K. Southeast Distributors added about $10K worth of options to drive the price up such as film on all forward facing areas, ceramic coating, running boards and a few other things. Wasn't happy about that but we either took it or walked away.

2nd highest percentage of American parts and labor of all trucks in the US. #1 is Honda.

Built in Texas. American powertrain, +++

The Ram diesel was built in Mexico with a Chinese Cummins.

I'm not justifying.

The Ram was a real piece of garbage. Transmission was on its way out and kept getting recalls because it could catch on fire.

Don't park it anywhere near your house or other vehicles since they could burn down along with it.

All this at 28K miles and owned by a woke pos company.

I wasn't thrilled about the V6 until I drove it. It will just run away from most pickups out there today.

They say that it's faster than a Raptor V6. That I don't know.

Tundra felt pretty snappy.

Again, its not a hot rod or race car, but I don't want a dog either.
We are in no hurry.

Id say that TRD Pro is high on the list. Probably #2.
But its the wife's call and she isn't motivated to be in a car payment LOL.

I sent her a YT video of a guy with a 650hp with a 5.7 stroker 392/396 and said when the lifters fail we can always do this.

We have a platinum. Middle of the road and no chrome. We get a bunch of compliments on it, which surprises me.
