Sorry if this is the wrong section. I got a JLT intake for my 23’ challenger hc jailbreak. I noticed the sc whine is almost non existent. Even more so than the stock intake. I don’t really notice any difference with this intake vs the stock one. Anything I can do to make the SC louder or should I just go for a legmaker and return the JLT? Ty

Just run the stock RE intake, they work pretty darn good. A leg maker your just going to be sucking in hot under hood air and probably degrading performance not helping it.

Okay thanks for the feedback. I don’t have a redeye so you’re saying I should buy the RE intake? I want louder whine without losing performance.

I believe the CAI on all challenger hellcats from 2019 on are about the same
I have a JLT on my 2019 and it sounds a little louder than my stock did.
I did it for the sound.
If you are doing it for the sound, a legmaker is amazing.
Had one on my 2016.
Actually, was pulled over because the LEO (according to him) didn't see me go WOT, he heard the whine.

I just notice the leg maker is basically an intake with no air box , no snorkel. So is it just sucking up hot air the whole time? What’s the difference if I just remove the JLT air box?

Legmaker is carbon fiber, not plastic. The plastic (in my opinion) absorbs more of the sound, while the carbon fiber amplifies it more.
Just my opinion and personal experience.

Been there - Legmaker is loud AF, and is sweet...for a while...and then gets annoying. Went JLT and no looking back.

Just stick with the JLT then, good stuff, especially their newest designs.

I wish they’d do a series 2 for the older Hellcats.

I’ve been using JLT in my cars for over 10 years. Always sounded and ran great! No improvement necessary.

What will do you do if it rains since the JLT is open?

With the 2019 and newer, the hood closes off the top of the JLT box, legmaker has no box, but has a rain blocking plate (that's unnecessary for 2019 and newer).
