Nice work but sure reminds me why I went with an A8 when I bought the Hellcat. I fought traction and shifting for years with the old car. Don't miss that.

Very cool!

Do you have the factory 3.70s in the diff? The easy (?) answer may be to toss in a 3.09 gear set and/or run a 30 tall tire versus building a whole new transmission. As much as that would seem like a step backwards at this stage. The obvious problem being traction now.

I completely agree that the factory M6 does feel a bit doggy and a set of gears (4.10+) would be a difference maker for most folks - with the obvious trade offs. I am keeping my eye out for a 3.90 set as a compromise since my car will never get close to 195mph.
Yes, running the factory 3.70 diff gear. I thought about then did the math on 3.09 gear and it would make 4 th on up way to high. A taller tire would be better and a 17” bias ply slick would probably really work well for a few reasons, that’s probably going to be the next try.

Nice work! What did you have to do to Barton to fit? Grind to clear u-joint coupler? (pics?). No mention of vibration with this driveshaft. Assume all good. Good luck with this setup, hope all comes together for the better when weather permits. Again, (y).
Yes, Barton hitting right where the yoke is welded to the tube. I machined off the bottom of the Barton linkage and connecting arm and also had to take as much off the rear mount as I possible, have about 3/16” clearance now and no issues.

If this was a track only car an auto would definitely be better but street play and being a muscle car has to be a manual guy it just has to be this way lol

And yes, happy with this Wiles DS, no vibration , really can’t tell the difference from stock shaft NVH wise. It looks the part of a 1200 HP rated shaft. I sent a bunch of pictures and info to the owner of Wiles and he is going to try and come up with something possibly so a Shaft clears a Barton as a bolt in.
Here’s pictures of the DSS vs stock shaft and the Wiles vs stock shaft, which would you pic based on just looks alone?? I have no worries DS wise now.

WOW. Very concise and VERY clear. Thank you. It's guys like you who do it 1st that make a decision a whole lot easier for guys like me who decide if and when to make the right decision. Thanks again.
P.S. besides looking bad ass and strong that DS looks like a prop from Star Wars. LOL
