How many members here actually know what is meant by "safety wiring"?
I know veterans will (at least those in maintenance).
Just a thought...
Well if Hickster was still around safety wiring would mean something about baling wire.

A few years back I was flying with a student and when she let the nose down on landing we had a heck of a shudder and the plane decelerated very quickly. Unknown to us the nose tire had slowly gone flat after we took off. The mechanic found a small piece of safety wire that had punctured the tire and tube. No idea if the tire picked it up in the hangar or not, but lesson learned about making sure every trimmed piece of safety wire gets properly disposed of once it is cut. Don't be that lazy guy that trims the wire and lets it fall to the floor to sweep it up later.

the earlier chargers/challengers hellcats have caught fire. The connect they used to the fuel rail if wasn't seated right would eventually blow off. They did change the design by 2018 or 2019. Z had a trans line fighting blow off and cause a fire. But his transmission was in and out a bunch of times so still hard to compare. I guess the question would be are you 100 percent stock? Have you had any major service done to the vehicle?

We would have flight deck police calls.
The entire company would stand shoulder to shoulder and walk the entire flight line looking for FOD.

I’m still trying to figure out if the braided line is part of the hard rail or separate that can be back ported to earlier cars. Do you know @jonx96? Since you’ve had the engine out a few times

I safety wire my main fuel line to the rail and the cross over to the rail as well. I’ve heard of a few blowing off so I took an extra step to make sure mine can’t.
Anyone remember FamilyCruizin'? The speculation was he torched his
In my recent valve cover swap on the '16, I had to disconnect the main inlet line at the rail for the first time it had ever been off since car was made...I'd be lying if I said I didn't recall the Family Cruising fiasco and thinking about that thing coming off. Can't tell you how many times I kept pushing and pulling it to make sure it was good after reinstalling it. It has a latch lock so the fitting button cannot be pushed when it is in place - really can't see how it could blow off in normal circumstances, unless something is damaged or the joint/fitting design has inadequate margin against the blow-off load on it?

Mike - any pic's of how you wired yours?

never heard of a MOPAR inspector, but the odds of any inspector in the corporate foodchain admitting to identification of a potential material defect, or manufactoring defect/error are about 1 in a billion

a real fire/arson investigator or insurance investigator might be more reliable. I'd expect the FD that extinguished it to have filed a report, that'd include an opinion on the ignition source/cause

y'all filed a complaint with DOT/USHTSA yet? shouldn't take more than a couple incidents to get an investigation started, especially where fatalities or injuries are involved
Just curious..what's a y'all...:unsure::confused:

Lol.
Let's see:
It can be singular, as in "y'all".
Or plural, as in "all y'all".
Probably means the same / similar to a New Yorkers "youz guys".

This is proper, and how I was taught by a co-worker from the South, and I've went with it ever since! :)
