2021 Charger Redeye

I'm going to go up to about 880 HP on 93 octane and figure its time to beef up my axles and driveshaft on my redeye charger. I have been running stock for one year (other than MT Drag radials) and then for the second season I ran a stage 1 tune from Moore Performance with a chiller. I added a JXB carrier bearing last year and now my driveshaft is not straight. The bearing bracket will not go far enough to the passenger side to allow the driveshaft to straighten out. So now I have a slight freeway vibration. There was nothing wrong with my stock bearing and I should have left it alone.
So I have about 100-120 quarter mile runs on it now with my best at 10.5 and I'm thinking maybe it would be smart to beef up the driveshaft and axles and lock down the differential with the carrier bushings before something expensive happens. I have the DIRS and AAD rear suspension kit already.
So would I be fine with even new stock redeye parts which are stronger than hellcat stuff and much cheaper with employee discount than aftermarket parts? I plan on cutting down my racing schedule after my stage 2 tune. I just want to get the car to a healthy medium for the street and track it occasionally.
I have not heard anything good about Gforce axles. And the exhaust pipes seem pretty close to the driveshaft for going with carbon fiber. And I want to make sure I do not have any driveshaft vibrations. DSS said my exhaust may need to be modified to use their 4" aluminum driveshaft. I'm really not happy about that possibility.

Thanks for any good advice. I'm already behind schedule to be ready for good racing weather at the end of April here in Michigan.

At 880 WHP and mostly street duty just go with new RE parts, especially if you want minimal NVH on the street. My .02

Pics of the bearing bracket? Weird it didn't line up

I bet @Jcall34 could help with thoughts about this.

@Detroitboy With the amount of torgue during launching, I would be concerned with anything not straight in the rear.
Everything I heard about the RE parts, you should be good @880 HP, especially since you have already added strength support.

Did you give JBX Performance a call?

Seems like you should not have had a problem.

Reduces drivetrain slop

Restores and maintains driveshaft alignment

Installs without having to remove or disassemble the driveshaft

Fits all 2015+ Charger/Challenger/300 Variations

RWD and AWD

V6 and V8

Automatic and Manual

All Trims

I %100 understand how you feel, about any kind of underneath damage.
just have the Race Brace is what I call the "Most Peace of Mind" installed on my HC :)

@Detroitboy, if you wanted to change the to a DSS AL driveshaft ( This is what I have for my 2015)
https://highhorseperformance.com/th...r-15-23-charger-srt-hellcat-redeye-6-2l-hemi/

I have used DSS

Formerly CHSH31-A-CV

New from The Driveshaft Shop! We have developed a DIRECT FIT rear CV Driveshaft! This new design eliminates the adapter plate at the rear end with a precision ground CV to fit inside the pinion flange just like the factory. This new design sheds weight from adapter plates while increasing power holding ability and drivetrain response. Our driveshaft will be an athletic upgrade from the factory soft rubber mounted shaft. Now offering solid connections, perfect alignment, and our new CV’s with Chromoly internals to get the power to the ground. Designed to hold over 1000+ horsepower, so even the most extreme engine modifications won’t be a problem.

Please Note Failure to follow the items below may damage the driveshaft and void the warranty.

– This driveshaft for 2015+ models DOES NOT REQUIRE SPACERS

– Exhaust system may need to be modified for adequate clearance (.75”)

WARNING: Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit MUST BE INSTALLED on the vehicle PRIOR to installing a Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Driveshaft. Any damage to the driveshaft (or any subsequent damage) caused by failing to properly reinforce the rear cradle and limit movement will VOID ANY AND ALL WARRANTY provided by The Driveshaft Shop.

I would also consider the AWE Track edition Cat back. Which I also have and absolutely love the sound and so does everyone else that hears it :cool::cool: https://highhorseperformance.com/aw...ack-6-4-srt-392-srt-hellcat-redeye-6-2l-hemi/
It will save weight and there is more clearnece.

If you are not in a hurry to purchse, i'd wait and see if HHP has these on their Memorial or 4th of July Sales.

~Linda
