I'd like to have one. 1 million times better than this garbage.

I had one for a while & so did my brother. They were inexpensive, fun to drive, easy to maintain & out performed the other 'hot hatches' of the time.
I'd snap one up if I ran across a survivor that was not totally ragged out.

We had a standard model with a 4 speed. Damn thing just kept running until the wife said get rid of it and get me a car with ac.

It may make a good get around town car for us. Inexpensive, sounds semi-fun, 30 miles on electric, but has a ICE motor. Might lease it and wait a few years to see what is next. We were just talking yesterday about a “smaller” SUV, but not a car. We are happy with the current Mopar garage and waiting for a toy from Chev. But I could not think of anything I even wanted to consider.

Glad the Redeye is well and in my garage. That 2023 Challenger game is not for me.

My thoughts exactly. I mean I get that Dodge is being pushed out of their core market by emissions regulations and that they need a bread and butter model to stay in business for now at least. EV‘s havent proven themselves out yet so they were smart to get into the compact SUV market. It’s the hottest market currently. When you think about it it makes perfect sense. But why oh why oh why would they do a reveal at a muscle car event at Woodward? The marketing makes no sense, Hellcat owners aren’t going to welcome a Dodge Dart SUV ’into the hive’.

You mean you guys aren’t lining up to trade your Hellcats in for a Hornet?🤮

Dodge plans to stop making its Charger and Challenger sedans in 2023, as electric vehicles supplant the fabled muscle cars.

Parent company Stellantis said Monday that it will halt production of the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger in December 2023. To commemorate the vehicles, the company said Dodge's lineup next year will feature seven special-edition models, each of which will have a "Last Call" plaque under the hood.

Customers will be able to choose among the Demon, Hellcat, Redeye, Scat Pack, Shaker, Jailbreak and a seventh model that will be announced at an automotive industry convention in November.

I was under the impression they were going to keep them with v6/twin/hybrid etc.. For a while anyway?

Think Caddy Blackwing V6 but without the high price tag of the Caddy.
I doubt it happens, but im very interested in that combination.


Likely to have the hybrid auto so they can make 600-700 in the torque department
