Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout saw 36 cars competing for the trip to the Winner’s Circle and Ed Springstead claimed the overall win with a 9.05-second average in his 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Josh Schwartz took the runner-up honors with a 9.31 and Alan Scruggs received the 9-second award for his 9.47 average. Other winners include Jim Burr (10-second), Michael Smith (11-second), Jimmy Kline (12-second), Charles Tyree (13-second), Mike Sanders (14-second), and Tim Burkett (15-second).
The quickest eight cars in the HEMI Shootout are automatically entered into the
HHP Racing HEMI Quick 8. In the final round, Josh Schwartz squared off against Ed Springstead, and Springstead secured the win with an 8.52 to Schwartz’ 8.54.
