I don't quite follow.
I finally remembered the photo of how I did the edge by adding a vinyl baseboard and then coating it along with the floor. It creates a seamless waterproof seal at the floor-baseboard transition.

Ah, that looks good. The lower part of the walls in my shop are brick block so I'm not sure that'd work in my case. My sheetrock stops about 2 feet from the floor.

The vinyl baseboard is glued to stucco over block on three sides of my garage and the other side it’s glued to sheetrock. In my case it works great.

More on the shop. I had a lot of questions about what was used on the shop floor.

Nice Garage! Now you need a 2 post....man I can't wait to have a garage like yours someday... Goals!

Thanks, it was definitely a goal. Had it in mind for 15 years and worked deliberately toward making it happen for 5.

It has provisions for a 2 post lift and I had picked out a low pro bendpak, but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm honestly getting spoiled by the room and don't wanna give it up to posts.

I have recently built a garage and put a fair bit of research into floor coatings . Yours looks terrific and has held up very well as like you mentioned there are a load of horror stories in both self painted and “ professional “ finishes . I had/ have come to the conclusion I’m better of doing a polished floor because although it’s more expensive once’s it’s done it’s done and in my research 50% of home handy man attempts are less than satisfactory. Now I’m in the garage and over the building stage I’m not sure I’ll bother doing anything , so many projects. 8C05947F-3EC2-4CD0-9B7E-752FB5653D8C.png
