Demons sold 20k over their 85k MSRP. Loaded up Demons topped 95k. Plus inflation and that comes in around 112-115k in today's dollars.
Dodge knows their dealers will tack it on. They tried to get them to stop, and like Ford and GM, know there is little they can actually
do. If Dodge is smart, they take a little extra on the top for themselves. This is how I got to 120k.

Im both a GM and Mopar guy.
I prefer the Hellcat's all day long. But the ZL1 was a hoot to drive and really start to question what I'm getting with the Dodges.
When the sticker packages get more expensive than a car that will run circles around it.....it gives me pause.

Its also the last of the GM cars that can easily be tuned.

I have no brand.loyalty now. They have none to us, so why bother? It's really a stellantis now anyway, right?

Agreed on the 160k part.
If I had no issues with it, I would have bought another Demon by now.

But these are 60-90k cars. I really give pause to a car like that for 100k+

$90K is pushing it IMO. $60-$75K is my number for these. I bought my 2016 for $60K, sticker was $72K. I doubt that was a loss at $60K or they wouldn't have sold it to me for that. What's different about a 2022 model that's $84K optioned the same as my 2016?

No way it's that much. It's a 30% price difference and the car is literally the same.

If starting before the pandemic, it could well be near 30%, I'd think.

Inflation has been out of control the past couple years, but you can research for yourselves it doesn't account for a 30% price increase in these cars. I'll let you make your own determination for when it went out of control and why. I could accept a 10% or even 18% difference but not 30%.
