Now down to two cars.

2022 Challenger Redeye, 2000 miles. No HK, no wide body, lots of warranty left. 9.5" wheels of course.

Challenger Redeye.jpg

Versus

2021 Charger Redeye, Torred. 12000 miles. HK, sunroof, widebody, silly aftermarket rear diffuser.

Widebody Redeye Charger.jpg

Price difference is not really material, but around 5 grand.

Any opinions?

I love the Charger but I am not a fan of the WB's. I vote Challenger. Put aftermarket 11's with 305's on the back.

Good to see you back in the game to the point where it’s a vehicle choice. Mag I think it comes down to what is your driving style and if you plan to have more than1 passenger often, if so Charger. Also I think the Charger is a little better as far as far as interior. I happen to like both wide body and non wide. It’s what you like and the passenger thing.

Addressing you question specifically on opinion I like them both and would make sure no mods that would affect warranty if you don’t plan on doing mods and warranty is important to you, ie: P1400 code unlocked PCM, or heavy use/abuse and put back to stock especially the higher mileage Charger. If both are solid as advertised you can’t go wrong either way. Also a vehicle of this dollar amount I would like to see bottom side on a lift. Good Luck with your decision.

Challenger!!
150 percent!
You can always get the Phillips fender flares and get 11.5 inch rear wheels and 10 inch front if you want wider than 9.5

Search the VINs, if one comes up drug related seizure, walk away and pick the other.

and be careful with that Challenger, that you didn't find it on a fake site that lifted pics from Fast Lane Cars.

Would go with the lower mileage (assuming no signs of abuse, etc. were equal). Good to see you sir.

Silly aftermarket diffuser and 12K might indicate some silly abuse.

if legit, that Challenger looks sweet! Triple Nickel. This would be my choice.

Need the HK but I’m dying for a charger right now. I mean I’ll keep the challenger, but really want a charger

My original Charger had the 305s and 11s in the rear - that was definitely on my mind too.

As always man, you've made great points - our thought processes are very similar I think. I like looking at the bottom of the car too if not new and I haven't done that with these yet. Will do so on Saturday with the Challenger.

I was thinking that exact thing, Hunter. I even sought out pictures of your car a few nights ago to compare. It's going to be a hard decision.

While I like the looks of the wide body, the rear flairs take an ass kicking from the front tires. IF?!?! I ever got a different HC it would be a narrow body RE.

too true :) I've done the Carfax thing and both seem to be clean, but will search the VIN again. And BINGO, Dan is on the ball. Sued by the Feds and seized as forfeiture for both drug and illegal weapons sales. Don't see why that would not show up as a "change of ownership" in Carfax - really good to know it does not show that.

Even more odd / shady. The search also pulled up a car with the same VIN at the same dealership but dipped in matte black. The photos were completely identical, except for the color, even down to the silly defuser. Maybe photoshopped?

No, that was representative of what the car looks like, not the car itself (I thought I said that but I may not have - getting older by the day!)

Absolutely... and its in California so no way to really check it out. And the drug/weapons seizure listed above just adds icing to the big old nope cake. Unless I want to wrestle with them for a major a discount.
