The detail shop “trimmed” these areas a couple weeks ago. They’re hard to see in the pics.

They had the nerve to ask if I wanted a Bullsh*t $75 VIP car wash. I’m thinking F U. and your vip car wash. Lol.
One of the owners is shady and a liar too. Just saying. But who isn’t nowadays.

Trim that laterally with a sharp utility knife.

It will clean up, won't be white or hairy.

Taper in and out of the area, hardly noticeable

Would that even cause the PPF to come off a little?

I wouldn't think so, not where you showed the picture anyway

Look at the last 2 week old pic I posted. The PPF wasn’t installed right.

They have younger guys working there with little or no experience but I’ll get it fixed. Just don’t want it to get worse.

You think a black sharpie marker would work too? In that pic, you can see the scrape. And knowing how they are. They will try to charge me.

Did they put PPF on the splitter itself??!
I don’t think so. Do detailers put ceramic coating on splitters and other parts with that material. Plastic?

There’s an auto detailers called Chicago Auto Pros. They have like 7 locations.
But I’m gonna learn how to detail my own car. I hope the coating and PPF lasts a couple years though.

There are a thousand ways to "detail" a car...

It's like asking a chef how to cook.

I know. Lol…
I hear a lot guys like the 3 n 1 Griots garage ceramic

Obviously I’m gonna take care of (maintain) the coating that’s on there now. It’s called Fireball. But I’m gonna try that 3 n1 griots next in a couple years. I know. I have to make sure the old shit is off of there first. I heard Adams surface prep works good. After clay bar. Polishing, etc.. And then I’m gonna make it look like a mirror. It looks great now though. That detail shop only made a few mistakes. I think they could’ve put that PPF on better.

They better take a good look at the pics on my phone of the PPF that’s not on there right.
The bitch service writer at the dealership wasn’t interested and gave some dumb excuse why she couldn’t use my pics.

The first pic looks like sh*t. Like a kid applied the PPF. But one of the co owners trimmed it and “fixed” it. It does look good though.

That's an installation issue..not impact..to remove the scrape..use light continuous strokes with 1500/2000 grit paper lubricated with transmission oil..horizontal strokes...take your time...remember light pressure...

WTF is up with some bad luck with my black paint? First the Dealership and/or manufacturer. And now the detailer.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself a little.

Thanks man. What would you do if the detailer notices and tries to charge to fix the PPF? It wasn’t applied correctly in the first place

That lifted from some installation issues. You won't get that to restick if it's been on there a while. Best bet is to get a super sharp utility knife or knife with snap able blades to trim that. Light pressure to score the film the snap it off. That section is plastic, even if you do cut the paint, it's not going to rust.
