I'm reading it's a combination of RPM + Heat. More air = more pressure = more heat.
I see what you are saying. I know with the vortechs people spun them to the max rpm limit and some even more. Boost was always king. Not apples to apples being the rotors weight a lot more

My thought if you make 20 psi and gain some boost with porting you can change the pulley to get you back to the same boost spinning it slower. I know you went with the billet plate, did you get their snout also?

They're out of snouts, more on the way he said, but I'm already gonna be pushing it on the stock motor so I don't want anymore to be honest so sticking with the stock snout. I'm expecting 18-20 psi (1900 - 2000 aircharge) which will be making some steam on E85.

And that's my thought as well, go with a bigger pulley to slow the rotors down a bit but maybe pick up some airflow with the billet plate and hopefully have a win win in terms of IAT and power.

Can confirm, the car boogies like a 1970’s coke dealer.

Can confirm that 19-21psi (yes. I saw 21 on a cool night ) on E85 makes your pants turn brown.

Tell me more about the conditions that were true for this picture? (Before I say something stupid....)

i.e., Was this cruising steady state to get a an IAT of 66F???
Yes, cruising to the test bridge from home the long way, about 2 miles, that picture taken in third gear going up hill accelerating part throttle. Did a 60-130 hit across the bridge, coasted to the end and off the ramp, turned around which took less then a minute off and back on the bridge and did a 1/4 pull the return direction. Here’s HPT data and temps at the end of each pull, not bad in 93F ambient. By the time I got back home, 2 miles, chilled water temp back in the 40’s and IAT’s below ambient again ready for another hit. This while cabin AC on not in drag mode KC only, too hot for that shit!!

175 is where overtemp kicks in on mine.

I was this guy last year. I did the BMR icebox for this year. I'm always watching my IAT on street hits.

Like my V...I believe if I weren't running E85 I'd have lost the motor long ago.

A chiller is my next "power" move. 100%. Unless something else takes a dump first.

Inj DC there on the log as well in pictures, usually stays under 70%, I’ve got a bit of head room yet there. I’m running dual 285 pumps atm, have new inlet filters on the way, if they don’t get me head room back stepping up to dual 295’s will. This will keep me until I go Whipple someday.

I called yesterday to be a dealer we'd have to buy a fair amount.
I know Jim is still about 20k in sales away from hitting his next tier. I keep telling him he needs to sell more so I can buy one :ROFLMAO:
Are you running late for work again?

Steady state cruise
Here’s “steady state” cruise on the highway at 80. Chilled water temp below freezing and IAT below ambient. IAT depends allot on boost and load.
My car very seldom sees “steady state” cruising, it sees more bruising and running hard!!

@BULL what pulley combo, blower size, and boost/hp level you at?
