So how much to port them? Before and after numbers?
Special price through a friend I can’t make public but couldn’t pass it up. They say 30-40 HP gain, maybe more at my boost level. I don’t know the cfm numbers if that’s what your looking for but I’ve read many things that said Thitek has their CNC program refined pretty good and gets about the best gains from the stock heads without weakening them. Guess I’m going to find out.

It’s been here in a box 3+ weeks and I couldn’t open it to look at it, it was KILLING ME LOL. Last night was like being a kid again the night before Christmas. I couldn’t wait till this morning to open it. Lol.

I little here and there all adds up
Hopefully put me over the 1100 wheel mark then I’m done for 23 at least except for maybe a small fogger nozzle for some cooling and a little extra something at the touch of a button if ever needed for those close encounters of the highway kind lol.
I’ll be adding some launch and shift goodies like the Bang Shift Billy clutch release timer while the heads are out of the way and possibly a No Lift Shift kit to which would really quicken up 1/4 times. Have a set of Track Hawk tips that have been in the box for a year or 2, they’re going on when the exhaust goes back up. Spring will be here soon!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Leaking not needed tube on the header gone. Did ALLOT of clean up in the collector areas and port inlets on them as well, I should’ve taken a picture of the pile of chips that was left it almost filled a dustpan. It was almost 60° here today so I did them outside in the driveway when I got home from work because it makes a horrendous mess inside, stuff flies everywhere.

Wiped pistons down with WD40 and they look like new yet 4500 miles later, amazing what hard anodizing type 3 does for anti wear and anti stick properties, that’s what Cephalon non stick cook ware has done to it.

Removed lifter assemblies for inspection as well, all looks and feels good with them. Boy now would sure be the time for a cam change 🤔

Here’s a tid bit of what can be seen with a half decent bore scope. Underside of pistons anyone? Where do the squirters squirt too? Piston identification? What’s the cam shaft look like from inside? What do the bores look like on the bottom side of the pistons? I inspected every bore, rod connection, wrist pin area (see the black DLC coated pin?), all was able to be gotten too. Was good to see it’s all pretty much like new yet inside.

Wish I lived closer would be fun to come hang out and watch you tinker.

I'm starting to get that winter time boredom myself. Was at Discount Tire yesterday thinking about putting 33" tires on the o'l 4Runner which would require more suspension lift, 1" body lift, diff drop, new upper control arms, and probably 4.88 gears LOL. All for 2" more tire. I gotta stay off the internet.
