Some of the old guys may recall that the Taurus SHO was actually faster on 87 than 93. The engine was able to get more hp from the faster burning low octane fuel. Never heard of any other car being able to do that.
That was a cool car. My buddy in highschool brought his dad's (4th gen, I'm a zoomer) into our auto tech shop a few times for some basic service. Back when 365 HP was mind melting.
I think I tossed them all from that race, it was just index racing in an 11.50 class(would be like 10.50 at sea level) so it’s a lot of peddle dancing at the top end of the strip. That BMW was my first race, second race was against a Tesla and I broke out on an 11.47 run crossing the traps while hitting the brakes - bummer because I was way ahead of him too I killed him at the tree and was up many car lengths at the 1/8 mile so I kind of coasted and then hit the brakes - just a little too late!!!
Sometime next week. According to UPS from here to Shitsville, CA must have “severe weather” causing delays. This was how I got the by-pass pipes changed at one of my neighbors house… she will be ready to rock
Hope the forecast pans out and your track days are perfect! Crazy to think about how old that tstat could be, probably 10 years! Thing is I used to get one and swap it in and out for years and never had a problem, past few years though this one has always broke now! This is the one I have been buying forever:
As you are probably seeing, this crap breaks down on Saturday late. Looks like it could be a fun day on Monday. I am hauling one of the Vette club officers up with me.😝 They have seen the little Mopar many times and still welcome me. Amazing.
That thing is one of those I think one of us paid like $15 for back in the old ages. It is either that Jet or that Jet labeled as a Moto. I don’t want to spoil anything so won’t say anymore good stuff about it.
Funny they were less than $20 back in the day and never failed!
Well I just keep having good luck, drove over a very sharp rock apparently(probably - may have been spinning at the time ) and this required a new rear tire, it was covered under the warranty. I don’t disagree, steel belts popping up underneath the puncture.
And a couple more pics got posted from the last “time trial event” . I literally drove away from that M5
