I hope you put them down again. They're not that light.
Wish I had the carbon fiber rims sometimes. Then I think about curb rash and when I need new tires...

Maybe you should relocate? We don't have any curbs here.

And if you're nice I'd mount new tires for you without damaging the rims.

We've had warm temps(above freezing)...and a lot of rain...if they dont lay anymore salt down..we should get out early if it warms up...although April is still early for here..but I'm ready..

Get some carbon fiber wheels. They don't rust.

You're not fully awake yet, are you Man in Black?

Regular aluminum wheels don't rust either, but can corrode. Carbon fiber won't.

You are not supposed to look! You are just one of those 1 in 100 PITA customers that complains about things no one else cares about! (Except all of us! :ROFLMAO:) Good job!!!
Yeah, the dude was shocked I knew both where to find the date & how to read it - LOL.
At one point he said "well, they look the same to me" & I responded "how do you know they have not changed the rubber compound formula in 17 months".
At that point he knew I wasn't going to accept the 2 older tires.

I’d like to see how much room you have for plug changes now on that side! Mind you I’m not doing them probably for a very very long time since I just did plugs ha
Well, after another full day in the shop, the right side is conquered except for PCV plumbing. I could write a novel about this project and I have lost track of how many hours I have invested, but it's still worth it to me for maintainability and looks, but is not for the faint of heart.

Right side lower valve cover bolts were tricky to get started - just no room and it's all by feel and technique, but I got 'em. The right side wiring: no way (no room) to do my original idea I outlined above. Coils went on good, but everything is tight on space. I used the 4 short coil harness extensions and just had to route and tie the excess - it's all this aging boy was good for, but it still looks ok I think. To answer your question about plug R&R on the right side - orders of magnitude easier than OEM - just unplug harnesses and remove coils, just like the left side; I don't think the IC tank or lines need to be touched, just will need the correct length of socket and extension to leave a plane for ratchet swing. I installed the new plugs while I had the valve covers off, so I have not actually tested just a plug change, but it will be much easier regardless.

Getting closer, still several things to tidy back up. Hoping to test fire next weekend.

Ordered new shoes for the baby today - Conti Extremecontact Sport 02's. Suppose to be here Thurs & get installed Fri.
Still running the OE Pirelli's & they still have usable tread, but are now > 8 yrs old so I figured they needed to go.
Those tires will be a great upgrade @16GoManGoHC2 had great luck with them

I have put them on several cars now & have always been pleased with the performance & ride they deliver. When I put them on my wife's Q50 Redsport, even she commented on how much better the car 'felt' & she's usually oblivious to that sort of thing.

Fingers crossed they get the date code issue straightened out & I can get them installed on Wed.
