Tire blow outs at speed are no joke. Had a nail ruin a brand new all-season last season. Swapped the next day.. Didn't want to take additional risk at 100+mph.

Here is a 200mph blowout. Driver managed to save the car...don't think it would be the same story with RWD.

Speedway E85 is actually 85% and pretty clean. Best I can get out of a pump. The closest to me is Sheetz though and usually tests E78 or so...lately has been E80 and looks better. Must be a fresh summer batch.

I often wonder if any meaningful power is to be had with another fuel but can't beat 2 bucks a gallon.

I bet the Ignite is just a little more consistent though.

I don’t tune but I do pay attention to what’s going on. From what I understand... the power is to be had because it can safely handle more timing than 85 for the all out race tune (mine). The shop has drums of Torco T85 that they use for tuning the 900whp street builds. Tim will generally go around 18 degrees with those on the T85. He will not go 23 like mine on the Ignite. If I remember right... there’s another 40hp or so there.

My car adjusts timing automatically based on the ethanol content, but for this ignite it will be a stand-alone tune.

Ive run pump e for years. Had one issue where the station had a crap batch. I usually look at what’s going into the car before it does.

I go to 21 on anything above e80 or so. Drops a bit below that. I’m not exactly sure what he will throw at e90. This description is what makes it better:

Made it over to US41 Friday night. Best pass was a 9.43 @ 147 spinning to a 1.43 60’. Track was prepped pretty well but struggled all night putting the power down, never got a clean hit. Having to really drive the car to get it down the track, need to go 15” conversion next lol...

Sunday the 11th here but it'll be heads up at an airport. Timed...but its grooved so usually most fast cars are off the pace about a half second.

I'm just happy to race. It'll be on full kill, 2.50 and 315's.

Good luck on the 8th. I’m just waiting for November to get here so I can get my car back to the shop.

I'm going to try to avoid 15's

I have plans to try a 2nd gear launch, more and more are doing it and having good results.
