Is that your 3/4 ton?
No, the 2500 in the first photo was my girlfriend's. She has since got a 3500 longbed.

And the ex military pickup is technically a 1-1/4-ton. A civilian version would be a 1-ton...not sure what if anything differs.
I haven't had a 3/4 since getting the 3500 cab and chassis in '17.

those vw's are pretty light. You could have used a bed extender on the truck and not need the trailer:unsure:
You obviously don't know how miserably low the payload on a Ram 2500 is, do you?

And besides, I also use that same little trailer for some fairly porky cars.

this thing is fully pimped out, epoxy sprayed and is a blast to load cars on, even comes with a wheel rack

i am committed to making the 2023 race season a good one! I put in vacay except for the orlando event, word is @jonx96 picked up a spiffy one too

heading to tractor supply tomorrow to see what they have for straps, or i might order a kit from macs, recommendations are appreciated

No! Not Tractor Supply, please!

Macs has great stuff, including kits with nice axle straps and fuzzy sleeves, but you can get similar setups piecemeal from US Cargo Control and other places.

Either way I'd strongly recommend flat hooks with clips, not the J-hook stuff that can come undone.

Very nice! You might want to check with some of the guys on here to see how they tie theirs down. You will not find good enough straps at tractor supply. I would shop for them on the internet.

I doubt if you will find proper tie downs for strapping down a Hellcat

easy day, i got the direct hook ones because i have D-Rings that can swivel and rotate, I like the idea of moving the ratchet out from underneath the car, went with wheel tie downs because i don't want to hook to a damn thing underneath the car, now to work on those petty's garage bridle mount points or a bumper mounted tow hook. i'm leaning more towards bridal because I don't have a steep incline with the roll back 5*

for anyone doing research these are the straps:

I use Rhino straps. Always carry a 2nd set in case 1 breaks or they get stolen. Yes people will take your straps.

Can you please share the details? Brand, model, length, unladen weight? Is that painted aluminum or is it steel? And cost if you don’t mind?

Brand: sloan
Model: kwik load
Length: 20’
Unladen: 2150lbs
Steel deck, epoxy coated.

Cost not represented by current market value. Found a guy that races and he knew I raced and he has two other enclosed and doesn't need it anymore, gave me a smoking deal and all the goodies like winch, tire rack, etc.

Current model year without any bells and whistles with just the wind faring is 10k.

That’s what I picked up. Looks like @fumanchu182 and I have some grudge racing that needs to happen between us 😉

Very nice 👍🏼. A couple things I have ended up doing after having gone thru the trailer experience for a while now. I winch my car in using a handheld remote. That allows for a safe and very precise loading. I can place the car over far enough to the curb side of the trailer to give me space on the drivers side to walk along on top of the trailer wheel well to reach in and steer the car. I have placed my winch on the right side of the trailer and hook it at a point on the drivers side of the car to to get a straight pull with the winch out of the way. Besides safe and precise loading (and no climbing out of the window inside the trailer), I will have no problem with loading if something breaks and the car won’t move on its own. Ok I want to know. How are you mounting the tires like that? That would be a huge space savings.
