I found out a while ago that if you control how the power ramps in you can go from Spin Spin Spin to Hook Hook Hook. And I was only .01 or .02 off my PB sixty foot times. Anybody that doesn't want that is nuts. That is why I am now jonsing over this new car so much. Yes sell the house......

I'm not trying to be a dream crusher, but that seems a little out there Ron. I take it you're not married?

I've always looked at it like this.

1. Savings/401K/Roth IRA first.
2. Pay off ALL debt, I mean all of it second.
3. Once that's covered - buy property, they ain't making more land after all.
4. Once all that's covered then play with cars if that's what ya wanna do if you think they're investments, great, if you just wanna race or whatever great.

That's why I can't understand why "most" people are paying so much for these cars. Maybe they already have 1, 2, and 3 covered but seems unlikely based on what I'm seeing. $200K+ goes a long way on 2 and 3.

I don't know that selling your home to buy a car is a good plan. Wreck the car, gets stolen, whatever and you're kinda stuck. It'd be like having your life savings stuffed in your attic and the house burns down.

Just my respectful .02 cents.

I would for sure prefer someone like you get one of these that'd actually use it though. Just about everybody will just bubble wrap them and pull them out in the driveway to take a picture for everyone to oooh and ahhh over which will last a couple months then everyone will move on. Once Dodge goes EV it's on to the next.

I am not joking. I have been thinking about selling my house and living out of my Truck and Trailer. Along with the SRT Demon 170 of course. I am for sure going to minimize my belongings when I stop racing. But just thinking about doing it sooner. There are a LOT of concerns doing this but I think it is possible............For instance, can you be on medicare and only have a PO Box? What state do you want that PO Box in? What medical plan can you be on that covers the whole US? And the list goes on......

More power to you Ron!! Back in 18 I started a thread where I sent you $400(or so can't remember) think few others joined...... Either way personally I find respect and admire what you were doing then and now. It was amazing to see someone attempting to prove people what the car can do, I wanted to see it done.

I appreciate that a lot. Quite a few members joined in and paid for my trip to NOLA for the inaugural Mass Traction Demon Invitational. So grateful for that experience and the friends I made there.


I would not sell my house in order to be able to buy the Demon 170. I would sell it so that I would not be tied down and to force myself to give up most of my belongings. I have way too much stuff.....

I think I am on track to get this new Car. I am paying too much but I think the folks are trustworthy.

How about this if you cant afford to buy a demon 170 or cannot force yourself to give up your belongings which apparently you admit you have too much of then don't deserve a Demon170.
