2023 Durango less than 10k miles. Driven for about seven months now. I never wear anything worse than some jeans. Edge of that red leather sure looks fake to me! @DodgeCares

Contacted @DodgeCares, they told me to file report with dealership.
I did
Dealership were fkg asshats.
Demanded that I file another report.
Didn't give a fk about reporting.
Stated their opinion and would not submit report.
Fuck crown Dodge and it's service department.

We had some failures on a E320 we had. It was the Mercedes pleather. Upholstery shop fixed it up fairly cheap with real leather. Never had any problems over 100K miles.

This is probably close to being the same thing.

That portion of the seat is 'pleather' not the Laguna Leather used for the center sections. Some seems to wear better than others, on my '18 it still looked great after 27K miles.

Next thing that will break is that plastic side cover with the controls, it will crack across the top, then deform & pull away from the seat frame.

My driver side seat in my SS is doing something similar only on the vertical side not the seat bottom (5750 miles) reported it to dealer and they have it in my file.

I Stopped rolling over it with my ass every time I exited or entered the car. Its probably double the weight u put on it every time u do so vs. just driving. Do that a few hundred times and shit starts to wear..... On my Trackhawk im even more conscious of it cause it sits up higher.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I know my ‘15 don’t look like that yet (know the man real well who I sold it to), and my ‘19 don’t look like that either. For what these cost, they better not even think of asshatting me! I need to get this back to MN, where my local service department are NOT asshats and it will be taken care of.

It is good to know those side pieces are not the Laguna leather. It is flipping defective, did not hold up to even the beginnings of expectations. Bullshit, not even more than a few months.

This is a product failure that using some type of treatment wouldn't have prevented in my opinion. Just a defective piece of pleather.

HA, you've got a minor seat wear issue after 10K miles and are pissed - imagine how I feel with an ever growing list of crap wrong with mine (now up to 8 items) @ only 1,500 miles and zero support from the asshats at Jenkins CDJR

Mike did I say I was pissed? Just departed the place in CO. It has been fun driving for a week, I hate leaving it and not seeing it again for about a month.

It was four months old when the pictures were taken. It should not have done that and it is part of the leather portion of the seat.

Update, moved back to the Twin Cities. My favorite dealer here has a new seat cover ordered.
