@16GoManGoHC2 pulls his plugs at least twice a year and does a leak down test, and he has regular valve covers (or at least did)

Yep. 450 for labor and they probably did it while cradle was out for headers. So a 15min job.

Didn't give a damn. I will never do plugs on this car again until i have billet valve covers. Not worth my sanity.

Yeah, thinking I need to close up the gaps. I’m around 17 lbs of boost
Early days of supercharging for me in the 90s I gapped my plugs at .035 per the magazines ( no inernet) and car didn't pull very hard above 5k and blew a few headgaskets. Changed coils and ignition boxes but nothing helped. A few years later I changed blowers and had the same issue but this time when I talked to the place I bought it from they asked about my plug gap and said .035 was too much try .028 and that solved the issue. That was around 12 psi. Sometimes problems are very easy to fix once you know what the issue is

Smaller gap typically means worse gas mileage bigger gap typically means better

I've seen two articles talking about the Demon 170 having "special" spark plugs that were specifically chosen for E85 use. Maybe they wanted a little larger gap to have more fire to light the higher volume of fluid coming from the injectors? Would be nice to get an explanation from the engineers.

Yes, still stock valve covers. Just finished putting the worked over custom billet inlet plate equipped 2.7 blower back on. Hopefully get out for a test hit soon and dyno on the horizon.

Whipple, it’s getting the right silicon coupler fitted tonight and the cowl parts put back on. It has one of my Pyro heat shields underneath it, which, by the way, I have about 10 or 15 to distribute if anybody wants any let me know

The source said Champion was chosen over NGK because of scheduling constraints, among other reasons.

Even better now with proper length coupling and doughnut gasket on the intake tube to box, totally sealed. The Pyrol shield keeps it all cool too.

Cool, I like how the hoses run under the coolant lines as I was wanting that because I have the ABS pump/lines cover too.

Great job on finding the right donut gasket too for the air intake/box, looks like a snug fit

I’m almost sold on those heat shields you have. Any way you could take a heat gun reading with and without it of the intake tube/surrounding area?

2016, yes, MAF sensor. Yes, they sell them, I’ve heard they want around $600 for the box, tube, coupler, seals, new hose and sensor mount for clean side PCV. They match up perfectly to the bottom air intake port as well, and the headlight intake tube too, nice fit. Mine came with a huge filter as well. Intake pipe is 125 mm on TB side and 7” on filter side. They’re trying to make up for losses on blowers with them. Lol.
