Oh great now you sound like someone from Faceplant. Apparently our NHRA tracks timing systems are jacked. Likely due to conversion from Canadian. LMAO
Jim you just have say it's to compete with all the down hill tracks there are in the USA.LOL

Linda :)

I don't recommend slicks on a A8 car , I tried a set last year and they didn't work at all for me and I'm at 750 hp too . Even the M/T SS's worked better on my car then the slicks . I'm going to do some suspension upgrades . I believe that will make a big difference.

Very True!
I've seen slicks on an A8 the HC couldn't get down the track!
I've seen some M6 HC owners post they were doing better with slicks.

I Never had Slicks on my HC but
My husband had me test 3 different types Drs waiting for our order to be shipped for the MT ETrs. What a difference a real game changer. There were many MSHS racers with other built modern Hemis too that changed over. There were lots of new PBs from them

Hey hellno , you put the 315/50's on & they didn't seem to help with below par track prep ? ….how did they fit on the 9.5" wheels as far as bulge over the wheel ?
ET R would never hook on below sub par track no matter the size. That’s where 15” radial pro (even the same compound but diff nylon used) and other tires come handy.

Funny you say that. Sanair dragway, where Shirley had her big wreck in '84, is actually uphill. That's why not many records were made there.

You have a good point but what would be great is if we all were able to meet at a track and actually run each other ,that way everyone gets GAPTIZED the same day , it will be a spiritual awakening, especially for hpindy that half demon half hellcat is a lost soul that needs an awakening
Ohhh you will get your chance ..... Challenger fest 2020.........

A man of integrity. It's nice to see .
Do you think the filter os necessary?

Sent from my BBF100-2 using Tapatalk
The factory fuel system uses only the socks as filters. To be perfectly honest I'm not a huge fan of this but FCA must have felt it was sufficient. A lot of people argue that the ethanol-based fuels are dirtier and thus necessitate an additional filter. I don't know that there is any concrete evidence for this but an additional true filter in the system is still a good idea imo. Keep in mind that even these systems with add on filters are still post-pump so the pump is passing whatever trash the socks miss.

I don't want to do the 15inch conversion ,the money ive spent on tires alone could have went towards better improvements but when your putting the putting the power down you have to do what it takes guess

Don't "need" it. Get some adjustable arms, lockout the cradle, set camber to a more positive than factory setting for more tire on the ground, should keep things happy for awhile.

Gotcha, is there a thread on suspension mods? I need to go search I guess. I've not gotten to the point of spinning the ET Rs yet, but all I've used thus far is my 93 tune and my very first baby race gas tune.

I ran slicks for a long time and like the ET Rs better, but I didn't have any issues getting down the track on the slicks. The ET Rs just feel more stable and I've had better 60s as well like .05 better thus far. Not a huge difference, but a difference just the same.
