More on the shop. I had a lot of questions about what was used on the shop floor.

Hey, so because of UV light damaging stuff, I bought some of the UV light rated (and tinted) window film.

It was a PITA, but I put that on my (garage) windows.

I wasn't worried so much about my floor or things in my shop as I was about the Hellcat.

Food for thought.

;)

Love all your videos. Our garage floor is a little different. Instead of scuffing it rough and epoxy we had them diamond grind it super smooth. They did 8 or 9 grindings each time changing the grit finer until the floor is super smooth. Same thing doesn't stain and easy to clean. About $3 Canadian per sqft. Makes is look almost like a marble floor especially if you have lots of stone in the concrete.

That's a good less expensive solution @Markp. The local hardware stores have floors like that. I asked them how it was done when I was considering options and no one knew LOL.

My only concern would be slick when wet. My shop is setup so I can wash cars in there if I want.

Granite garage floors is usually at the Franklin cars and coffee, may worth asking him about your chip repair.

That's cheap ! I tried to get that done in our kennels and was getting insane quotes like $15 - $20 sqft !

That’s crazy expensive. $6 to $7/sf is pretty typical.

Another way to address the edges is to install square edge vinyl baseboard and have them coat that with epoxy. It makes a seamless edge.

I’ll take a photo at my garage when I’m there this week and I’ll post it.

More on the shop. I had a lot of questions about what was used on the shop floor.

I am very pleased with mine - i used armor garage epoxy flooring. The floor is holding up very well. I have had it for about 2 years now and have been able to scratch it, but not easily. Doing it myself I was able do it for under $2 a square foot. I would recommend it if your in the market for floors.

I thought it was kind of expensive until I heard the prices mentioned here to have someone else do it. Not knocking that, but I am curious how mine holds up to those professionally done.

Mine has some scratches but I had to work to put them there LOL. My plastic creeper had some gouges in it from the aggregate driveway and over time had sagged and I didn't realized was dragging the floor of the shop. I threw that creeper in the trash and got a better one and no more scratches. Other than that and the chip I mentioned in the video the floor is like brand new after 4 years of use.

I have a buddy that tried the DIY approach. It turned into a disaster. He had the have the professionals take his meds off and redo it. He says he’s never try that again.
