And here’s a 4-speed hemicuda for $195k

And one more from Indy, a ‘71 Challenger 440+6 automatic. Super nice, doesn’t $75k seem light? Wish I had the dough to buy them all up and put them away…

Prices this year at Carlisle for a lot of the cars for sale were not as high as in previous times I’ve been there. Comparatively speaking.

Cars have never gained top dollar at Carlisle but it’s hard to judge without seeing the cars in person

It does seem rather low...painted bumpers...and maybe some other non factory touches might factor in...but all in all...it does seem on the light side

I almost died there in 2007 looking for a radiator core for a 69 SuperBee, never been and forgot water and sunscreen.

It was 94 degrees on Saturday, ball bustin' hot. Met some really good people where I was in the Hellcat section. Guy next to me was from Quebec and guy to the left was from 7 miles away. Other than the oppressive heat it was a really good time. I figured the Hellcat section had about 32.51 million horsepower, I ran into a girl and her husband who I know and had just seen at a cruise on Thursday. She drives a really nice Go Mango 74' Challenger stroker 4 speed. She was carrying a 440 intake manifold because they are in the process of building a 440 big block. Saw another couple who live about 6 miles from me. Really large crowd Saturday despite the heat. One of my buddies' friends flew in from San Diego who was friends with and raced with Paul Rossi at Pomona Dragway.
All in all it was a good time and a chance to see some of the top Mopars in the country. People from all over the country. Mopar people are a salt of the earth downright great bunch. They really need to have the event in October though!!!

No Dodge/Stellantis presence at the show this year. Nothing to sell I suppose. Usually they'd have a large setup with a few cars and mopar parts/merch.

Correct. The actual representation from Dodge corporate was miniscule. The Dodge brand from Stellantis is deminishing but Mopar enthusiasm will be strong forever. The Mopar brand is people, not a corporation. As long as there are muscle cars and racing there will be Mopar.

67 coronet R/T Hemi with automatic.

I believe only about 11 thousand Hemi cars total from 66 to 71 and they made more in ‘66 than any other year. It’s almost time to buy I think….

Painted bumpers were an option in ‘71 I think

production numbers in ‘71 got so low and they really dressed them up, would be sweet to have one like that!

We saw lots of them around Detroit. We still do. Motown was a great place to be a growing kid/car-guy.
