Not happy about this but it was known within for a while, it's because the end of production of the older body style. They are going down to one shift to run Wagoneers only. I just ordered a 2024 classic 4X4 Warlock because it's the last Ram truck you can still get with a standard 5.7 Hemi (no E-torque) I don't need or want all the new tech in a truck for work so I'm getting one before they are done.
Most of these will be covered by retirements and voluntary un-couplings (whatever that means:() then some transfers and a few true lay offs, unfortunately. The news makes it out like this just happened out of the blue but I assure you they knew this model was ending at the end of 24 which is why I ordered the truck a little while ago, like Brampton, it was planned. Maybe the numbers of layoffs might not have been known back then but the plans were.

Great minds, think alike! I ordered a new 2024 Ram Classic Warlock 4X2, about two months ago. Delivery should be this Tuesday. I ordered all the options and the 5.7 Hemi. My current truck is a 2018 Ram, almost the same as the new 2024 Classic. I have been pleased with Ram trucks and decided to purchase, before they are gone. I am lucky, bed lid and bed rug will fit my new truck. One bonus, the new truck fits in my garage, the new series Ram would not.

Some of us been partyin' since 2006!

6.1 was like a big high-revving small block, great top end pull and did well with the 5-speed auto all things considering. SRT engineers said the specs for the cam were a lot like the old school 340, only a little more aggressive. No cylinder de-activation. Huge metal high-rise intake that was beautiful, but heat soaked like a mofo and they did not have a good IAT sensor design so that heat soaked too. SRT engineers did a ton of research and development on the engine. I used to ice my intake down between runs at the drag strip. I had a 300C SRT8, great looking car in its time! Mine sure ran strong, I did run a 12.9@109 with only an air intake, that was on street tires too. Did a 12.5@112 with a tune, still on street tires. Back in 2007/08/09 it was a fast car. Beat so many GTOs, Mustangs, Camaros, CTS-Vs, G8s, Corvettes...etc. Raced it with a baby seat in the back :)

So now...the baby that was in the baby seat,,,probably can drive now
Shopping for her first car right now! Driving for her has been a little complicated as she has a type of epilepsy that is mild, but still requires that several steps are taken for safety. She is used to going fast for sure!

Not a lot of snow. Actually, had to watch the height of the truck, as 4 wheel is a few inches taller. My truck must fit in the garage, none of my vehicles sleep outside, gators will attack.
