About 4-500 bucks difference in a set. I'm a bit torn. Those or the Conti's. However, I would like a bunch better 0-? than the stock Perellis.
I think the $110 Conti rebate is still going.

I've already used it twice in the past couple of months and have reached their limit.

Might as well get arturos then
Yep, get Aururos, just make sure your life insurance is up to date.

How did you notice there was an issue?

Changing oil, front end raised, decided to clean rim barrels while under the car, rotated tire, sounding like rocks rolling around inside the tire. I thought the tpms broke loose from the 185 mph jaunt night prior. Ordered new 555G2 Nitto’s for the front, bought new tpms sensor, took to shop to have Nitto’s installed, found this. Right front tire, 185, my 22 year old son was riding shot gun, I got lucky, we got lucky, that could have been bad, VERY BAD. It was a 1/4 run that ended up going into 5th to the rev limiter and shifted into 6th and coasted out. No cheap tires for me after that especially with the speeds these cars reach in seconds 🍀
Here’s the Gtech graph of that run, it quit recording at 1/2 mile before I lifted.

I ran a set of Atturos on the rear of my Scat Pack back in the day, I was actually impressed with them and loved that they were only $90 a tire!!! I know they are a lot more now though.

To be honest, yours were the only ones I have ever seen like that and plenty of people use them. I'm running them now on the rear
Unfortunately, after that, I will never run a cheap tire again on this car at least as there were no signs of initial and I would’ve never have known unless I rotated the tire like I did while it was in the air and heard something inside it, from the outside It looked perfect.

I was reluctant about the Firestones at first, but while the price is more right than many other tires', finding out that they're actually made by Bridgestone removed my doubts.

I have 305 555R2’s (on 10.5 reps) on the back of my car now. Would you guys take a long(ish) trip on these tires? Or put the stockers on? Im off this week and the weather looks to cooperate, so I was contemplating a spur of the moment trip to visit my mom…500 miles. (Then 500 home of course) Would ya? I just realllllly prefer how the car looks with the 305s vs the stock 275s.

It's always better to look good than to feel good.

You have to ask yourself one question,

Do I feel lucky??

You planning on getting on it??

Being that you’ll be driving one of the most powerful hand fulls in the world are ya???

Well then ya have your answer.

The Nitto’s

Heck, use one of each. You have an effective limited slip.

Just remember which side is the show-off side.

I think you’ll be fine. I’ve drove mine interstate in the rain just keeping the speed limit no prob.

Not directly related, but I used 555Rs as daily driver tires on my old Charger when I was testing them. I do not get a lot of rain here so I don't have a great deal of wet experience with, but I never had any problem when it was raining, I was just more cautious.

Depends on how much the of grooves have been worn down. If u have a newer set of 555R2's they will work just fine in the rain. Long trips are only ruined by rain if ur tire has no rain grooves. Nothing else!

The 555R2 has huge rain grooves in it. I got like 6 months out of mine before the grooves started to wear out and even then ur only screwed if its standing water. Regular rain is just fine....

I will be the guini pig. Next week I will take pictures of the 32 inch tires on my narrow body. I will also let everyone know with the extra sidewall if it gets better traction on the street. I am going to try them at the strip on Oct 19th.

Have not been happy with the 555R's for traction, better than the stock junk by far, but if you hammer it from 45 roll it will break loose every time. and it is not a clean break but skipping like the tread has uneven grip. Much like the stock crap had from two mph roll.

Sometimes I wonder if it is the differential giving out. With one side putting more power to one tire. Then it gets dangerous at higher speeds.

It is possible. I tried to blame it on road surface. but it happens on every road, so not likely surface. the LSD could not be holding, or it may be the suspension with the IRS shifting body weight uneven. I am not a track racer, so I have no clue what to fix.
