Insulating to the degree and neatness I did took easily twice as long as putting the parts together, it was a process and a toil trust me. It’s insulated like that right back to the pump inlet, pump, valve to the unit. Under the headlight and behind the number facial it all hides. Even this slick bleed Tee right under the hood latch cover.

While out on the shake down ride On a freak 55F day here in NE Pa in January early this my boy came along, it was also line lock test time :) Put my old 275 MT ET Streets on with the intent this was going to be their last hurray, a long winter awaited date. This started out what turned later that night FF Clip smoke out across the river bridge (wide river, narrow bridge :) literally smoking out to a dead stop tail gater behind me in a I don’t know what and never saw again headlights disappeared in the smoke to just faint dots in fog. Right turn off the bridge 1/2 mile to my test strip return run back across the river. My heart was pounding from the near death third gear spin for a 1/4 mile gently gliding back and forth until redline in third (M6) across the 2 lane bridge met with a red light Tee On the river bank on the opposite side. Now getting on the double wide bridge home, I was going to be a good boy thanking God we both (the cat and I) lived through the events of just minutes prior and was going to take it easy, just run her up in third and fourth, well the cars in front of me didn’t get on the bridge, it was all mine, no cars, clean road, but now about 38F out, bald Mickeys, 275’s but I couldn’t help myself, I’ll take it easy. So on bridge, dead stop, set timer, her we go. First and second a joke, 1/2 throttle at best whacked third they started spinning but WOO-HOO we’re spinning and accelerating fast hit fourth when third redlined and I knew what was coming more spinning and so we did and kept it going until both fourth and myself were both spent. A glance in the rear view looked like a napalm strike. God damn I wish I could have had that 5 minutes or less of 3 miles on video, I think I’d still be watching it over and over, was like the very end of this Dodge commercial but I was alone, the only way I’ll let myself get that close to ??? But a bad outcome scenario haunted my mind that night and for days after, I felt like I was given a break and wise up a bit.

I just had to take them off that night before I could go to bed, that little rubber in 850 wheel at 39F was like asking to die. The 315 brand new Nitto 05r’s gave me a good vision to go to sleep on

All I could think about was what if that video was the last memory my boy had of me, I was on a narrow long bridge over woods leading to over the river, 2 lane, not much for guard rails, my car just spotlessly detailed including wiping the her whole belly and suspension down. We both could be no more today :(
Thank God I gots them new Nittos on for next time out , increase the odds of survival some :)

The KC idea,,, wonder whom came up with that idea a year a go??? HMMM. Wonder wo tat chiler mechanic from Florida is?? HMMM. Now question on your 3 way valve. Set up control wise. Is it in mixing mode, different tempts preferred, or diverting?? When not in operation is the valve normally open or closed for freeze protection ???

Is it in mixing mode, different tempts preferred, or diverting?? When not in operation is the valve normally open or closed for freeze protection ???
The 3 way valve is either in a position to direct flow out of the KC to the storage tank or through the radiators.

The Drag valve is another motorized valve but is just off/on and located in the suction line under the air box. I insulated it to protect it from radiant heat

Don’t forget to pull a vacuum on the system, Harbor Freight dual stage pump works great. My system would not hold a deep vacuum over night, I took the AN back fittings apart and applied some loctite 554 Refrigerant Grade sealant just to the flairs, NOT the threads. Let them set up for an hour and pulled another vacuum, held at 29.7” over night afterwards so pretty sure system will be leak free now.
