This is mostly sacrificial for the kids... but it does match the wheels nicely.

Did a quick wrap job on the lower flares as they were taking a beating. Made a pattern using masking tape, transfered it to cardboard, and then on to the vinyl.



It is a little large at the front to keep the sand and dirt out. Most of the bumps under it are existing damage (took less than 1000 miles)... not teabag for a first try, eh?

Get the rock guards(and install) before the leading edge of the rear flairs get chewed up like mine did.
At least the fronts. Rears are more for melted rubber.

Ah! Yup, that is another Hellcat tax from FCA and the fuel fun tax from the Feds.

Already done. Mine are actually a lot longer than the ones normally offered; unfortunately the car picked up some shit in the first 100 miles before I got them on. It is what it is.

Well this is was an unexpected WTF moment this morning. Decent drive into the office, even with a little traffic, and once we went to park at the office the car decided that the steering needed to lock up solid - like the column lock was engaged solid. Tried turning it off and back on again (LOL computers) - no help. My darling wife recommended that I try letting the car move forward - so I let my death grip off the brake, let out the clutch, and it freed right up. Once I got it backed into our space it started to smell like an electrical overload. Wonderful.

I cannot find any instances of this happening to a 2018-19 Challenger HC WB doing an internet search.

Poor thing didn't make it 1400kms before displaying an issue - this is why I bought the extended warranty. In Canada anything past 3 years is a risky proposition if you didn't have it paid off before then. Into the shop it goes tomorrow morning.

After a discussion with the local service manager it seems there is little reason to take the car in at this time as the odds of them reproducing the steering lock-up are low; especially considering the fact it drove fine all afternoon yesterday.

As an additional bonus the deficiencies I noted to the selling dealership will not be actioned by the local dealership unless FCA authorizes it. Seems the seller should have addressed them rather than passing the buck - now I have to open a case with FCA Customer Care - fortunately I have it all in writing.

In other news: I ordered a Preminum XL Sedan car cover from AmazonBasics - I do too much fab work over the winter to justify a pretty SRT branded one (it'll get destroyed).

Got both of the matching houndstooth car seats mounted, and a larger (more subtle) blanket to cover the seats.

This is what has kept me from pulling the trigger on a ZL1 or GT350.

Car cover came in. Fits great - especially for the money. It is quite heavy and therefore a two person job - the heft will be a welcome addition for when the doors get opened in the Winter and it won't turn into a hot air balloon like a thin poly drop sheet does.
