Thanks Linda! It’s been a long season not being able to drive my car though (May 5th was the last time). However, I’m excited for the future and I’ll take it in strides and see how it holds up and upgrade the rear and trans as necessary. Right now I just want to get it back and put some miles on before the snow flies! *finger crossed*

Primetime- we had a few delays waiting on some parts, a screw up from a vendor and then having to wait some more. Then Curt was on vacation so I had to be patient getting my initial tune. I should have pre-planned that better so my bad!

BUT. It got fired today and all sounded well! Need to take care of an idle issue and hopefully we can get tuning with Curt next week!

Here was the last pics I had when it wasn’t quite all put back together:

I completely agree! The Whipple’s are certainly prettier but the KB is growing on me. And I have a number of underhood dress-up ideas to make things a little more cohesive, yet simple and tasteful.

It’s been a long 6 months but my car is finally home! Unfortunately, the driving and testing season is long gone but I’m happy with the base results. To start out, we’re going conservative using 15* of timing on pump E75 using a 4” (21psi) pulley. Nothing record breaking but we’ll start here for spring time and ramp it up as needed. I still have some plans so stay tuned for more!

Here are both STD and SAE dyno sheets and short little video:

8.68 @ 163 I have broken a lot of parts getting there, I am trying to help you avoid the pitfalls I learned the hard way (if I can). I am not an expert on the M6 but I am in the game and read. The bolts used on the half shafts used by DSS and G Force stretch, please check them after every pass. They are the highest strength available, installing higher yield bolts is not an option.

Please keep the half shafts happy.
Going to be on 17” 315/50 MT Street R’s this spring. 825 wheel HP and 740 TQ. Drive shaft upgraded already, will the stock half shafts take the TQ multiplication of the 2.98 Tranzilla first gear hard launching in a sticky track with the M6’s 3.73 rear gears?

IMO, upgrade the half shafts, try the haft shafts found on the wide body cars (including the RE), I am told they have the upgrade half shafts, there no external bolts to re tighten light like found on the DSS or G Force

Unfortunately I already have a set of 1400 HP DSS half shafts NIB, was wondering if I needed to install them or not, sounds like would be a good move BEFORE I break one aye?

Yea, it would SUCK to tear up the car breaking one especially with new ones collecting dust. Looks pretty easy to swap them out?

Just make sure you install them on the correct sides, I installed them then noticed I had them reversed, tiny stickers on them, not a huge deal but still annoying.

Also make sure you put on the tone rings from the stock axels

Yep, I find it easier to drop the center section but others replace from the ends.
