Taxis are supposed to have black wheels, are they not?
At least I always thought it's one of those cost cutting measures on fleet vehicles.

I'm considering going with these Cragar wheels on my R/T 50. Thing is, I would have to downsize to 8.5" wheels from 9".

old-style Rally. But not an option with current brake rotor and caliper size. I looked into these custom. would look like a road grader wheel LOL
Just caught this thread. Great photo- chop pics!
Absolutely agree. Unfortunately I think the rallye is the hands down winner. If they could only make a 20" version that fit over all the modern brake hardware without looking so goofy I'd buy them in a second!

I expanded the Rallye wheels to 20"... They look awful. 18" is passable, 17" looks much better. Looking under my 2020 RT50, it looks like there's plenty of room for 17" wheels. Getting someone to fabricate a set is another story. I've spoken with several manufactures; all of which were oblivious to the popularity of the original Rallye design. Somewhere in my mess of bookmarks I have a FCA note the reads 22" to 17" fitment.

I can't believe you guys are still debating this. The best looking wheels (at least on a Granite car) are right there in my avatar.

The first MOPAR I ever rode in was my uncle's yellow '68 Charger R/T. The yellow MOPAR is putting out now is closer to a taxi cab yellow. It may look better in-person, I don't know?

Reminds me of Dirty Filthy Mary, Bat Shit Crazy Larry. A.K.A. Dirty Mary Crazy Larry movie accept it was a 70 Charger he dove off the show room floor and through the front widows.

Edit, it was a 1969 Charger they used, long time since I saw the movie.

Give Bizmark a call at Triumph Wheels. He can fab up damn near anything, lots of custom work done their with impeccable attention to detail.

I had a hard time liking black wheels at first....
I didn't. But some 20 years later, when just about every friggin' wheel is black, I had my fill.
And then some.

I had a hard time liking black wheels at first, but that brass color has just never grown on me. I know others like them, which is cool for them......they just don't do anything for me.
I ordered my car with them...didn't want black...but they never were my favorite...

Except for the car...the movie was less than stellar...
