What I've seen historically being around these cars for more years than I wanna remember and seeing a LOT of builds, when the owner sells the car right after it's done, there's been some kinda weird problem and they cut their losses. Murdercat on this forum is selling his after going rounds with it as just one example. Hopefully that's not the case, but just been what I've seen more often than not. Why spend all that time and money and then change directions I guess.
Some people have big coin lol.

I think he overbuilt the car.
Is there such a thing? Over built ? LOL
Just look at this conservative build. I think it’s too stealth, and certainly could use some more boost. Seriously this guy wants to grenade that thing. Hope his wastewater is set to open before he hits the build point of power plant. I saw it at Gillette stadium the other night. 1,200 cars. The show is every other Thursday, usually something there for everyone. Always see something new and cool, be it resto mod, rat rod, Bike, military, brass era, 50s 60s70s and yes our modern boosted Cats.

My car is the conservative stock boost Indigo RE. WB.

I’d say another week hopefully. Had to order a stock sized ATI balanced due to the 10% not working with their oil pump adapters and not being able to get the hub off lol. The plan was to put the stock balancer back on, but we don’t want to beat on the crank that much. That should arrive tomorrow. The rest is piping, intake, and some wiring.

Being you daily drive yours do you worry at all about water and the turbos being underneath when it rains? I'm not sure how they protect against that.

No, they are tucked up right next to the trans for the most part and use filters. I’ll provide pics when I can.

Low mounts are FINALLY being accepted in the turbo community. For years they were shit on because there was only ever 1 place to put the turbos… but they’re finally seeing the light. Having a turbo right at the collector is a million times better than after 10’ of mild steel piping to put it somewhere more visible.
Turbos are made out of very durable materials (cast aluminum and cast iron or steel) for the most part. So long as you’re not sucking rocks into the impeller you can put them wherever you want. Oil pumps have come a long way, and in the last 10 years or so people have finally figured out how to manage returning the oil to the pan without relying on gravity.
Can’t wait to see it come together.

I was turbo before I went SC. But only factory set ups, including bikes. Seen lots of problems w after.market set ups, mainly tuning. But then tuning has come light years in the last two decades (and mega light years from decades before that.

Considering going back to turbo in fact. Pick up an Audi RS3 or the like and light that SOB up. Will post more later.

Cant wait to watch your build.

Don’t get me wrong I’m a pretty big turbo fan. My question above was me just honestly wondering. Not bashing at all. If it wasn’t for the hellcat I was thinking of doing a twin turbo mustang gt. I’ve just wanted a hellcat since they were announced.
Being able to adjust boost and ramp in will be amazing.

I like what I am seeing and reading. I think the major hurdle for my neighbor and the Grand National was the bad tuning he had to deal with, but tuning as reported is light years ahead of itself in the past 10 years. I was a twin turbo man before a super charger. Had a Supra twin turbo and az fixin to go back in their direction due to weight and factory product. But this could be a major break thru. The boost of the twin turbos unreal. This is getting my girly panties bunched up. neighbor had his turbos just destroy themselves. The impellers just flew apart.
