I know I’ll get some shit for this but… 🥸. I let the trusty Ram 2500 go at 104,000 miles. She was a good workhorse and got the job done. This new F350 has got 475hp/1050tq with a 10 speed and is considerably stronger in the towing capability dept. I decided that for the last one I would treat myself to all the bells and lights so it’s got’m. Six year/100k Ford bumper to bumper warranty included in the deal. Had to do some garage modifications to get it to fit, but if I can rip apart a new Hellcat to make a race car out of it…. To fit that size of truck in my garage.

That’s another thing. If you haven’t experienced the surround camera thing, you can’t imagine what’s going on with that. The look down view is WTF. You can watch your vehicle backing up from above.

I haven’t tried that with the mirrors folded in… wonder how well that would work.

What’s the sticker on something like that. I don’t care what you paid just curious what the MSRP is.

$5000 dealer discount off sticker plus I wrangled another $1700 for the factory extended warranty. So $6700 off the sticker. $74,900 total.

I actually went to the local dealer and got them to let me take a test drive with one to see if it would fit. I had already taken measurements but I wanted to make sure. It was 1” too long so I told them… sorry. They wouldn’t deal on the sticker price at all. I knew I could make that much room so I worked the deal with a dealer 300 miles away in Salt Lake. Huge dealership with more of these things than you could count. It was a dealer package where they add a bunch of option packages to a XLT model. If you move up to the higher level models like the Limited (leather interior) they start pushing $100k. The deal sealer was they gave me $32k for the Ram. I only paid $58k six years ago and I had 104,000 miles on it.

Funny story about truck prices. I've heard twice now, 20 years apart, the cost of half ton trucks is crazy high because women find them fashionable. A friend who works at a Chevy dealer said you can get a 1 ton fully loaded cheaper than a 1/2 ton fully loaded simply because they charge more because of the want of women.

Funny story about truck prices. I've heard twice now, 20 years apart, the cost of half ton trucks is crazy high because women find them fashionable. A friend who works at a Chevy dealer said you can get a 1 ton fully loaded cheaper than a 1/2 ton fully loaded simply because they charge more because of the want of women.

I know wranglers appeal to women....still don't see many women buying P/U's....I guess whenever I see a woman drivin a truck,,,I assume it's her husbands,,,

Let the mods begin! Car wash friendly AM/FM antenna 😎. I ain’t washing this thing by hand and the whip antenna that comes on these things won’t survive the auto wash. If I want to listen to a Mexican AM station that broadcasts around the world after midnight, I’ll have to put the whip back on 😑

It's not uncommon at all for wimmin around here to have their own pickups.

Heck, my girlfriend has two. And yes, the 1500 cost more than the longbed crew cab 3500 with a Cummins.

That rings true for my wife... she decided she wanted a new truck (she says she's a truck girl rather than a car girl...). She went out and found the truck she wanted (a brand new 2018 Ram 1500), even though we already have a good truck, we have a 1 Ton diesel (pretty much, my truck though).
