No matter how deal an EV is, I would not get one. I don't put enough miles on to wear out the HC at my age so no sense in preserving it. Unless... I only use to to drive on heavily salted roads in winter.... Hmmm...

Yep, the distance is too far, way too much range anxiety, imo.
Oh, I wouldn't be anxious, just curious how far it'd go, not counting on making it all the way.

The downside is the spotty cell service, so the test runs would have to be with a tow vehicle and trailer (with a winch) following along.

But on the positive side, I could also bring a 6.5 KW generator and get a 2-5% charge on the way home. That way I wouldn't have to use the winch at home, too.

Come to think of it, this doesn't really sound like saving the planet, does it?
