Well, thanks for the vote of confidence. Short answer Demonology is much more suited for something like this than I am. He's got a pretty good network of folks that'll jump on this to meet the deadline I reckon.

I learned quite a lot about Dodge marketing at the CDM deal. I think this is a RE power plant and $10K to build a car. $10K isn't near enough I don't think. Maybe if you already had a Durango or something and could just drop the motor in and tune it. The AWD would come in real handy I'd think, but a full on build.....tall order to source a vehicle and get labor, parts, etc for $10K. I definitely couldn't pull something like that off with me and a friend or two. Back to that marketing stuff......those contracts and them changing their minds last minute wouldn't be a lot of fun either. I don't do well with that kinda stuff. I would have declined. I tend to speak my mind a lot so I'm not sure Dodge marketing will consider me for much. That or maybe I'm just not that entertaining

Good video! Those RC Comps are what I got on my “other” car 🫣. Those bolt together billet double beadlocks race wheels are NICE. I went with the Billet Specialties Comp 7’s on Stinkeye, but the RC Comp wheels are as nice as they get. The two piece construction allows you to get the exact backspace you need to place the wheel exactly where you want it. With the double beadlock, you can run slicks down as low as you need and never turn the wheel in the tire.

Funny you should ask… 😬. The cost of everything is getting ugly. Especially aluminum. I have two sets of the BS Comp 7’s. That’s so I have a mounted set with the M/T Radial Pros ready for when needed at the races. I was thinking about maybe getting another set to have the bias ply Hoosier option ready also. They went from $1200 to nearly $2000 per wheel now. I assume the RC’s are similar. That puts a mounted set at approaching $5k. Damn!

Haha. Yeah that $10k to “build” a race car is not going to get one very far racing against Herman. Admittedly the wheels that he is showing off are seriously expensive. Super light and super strong works of billet art.

For Herman and this marketing deal, I would assume so. I just checked and the double bead locked version of that RC wheel is listed at $1500 ea. My BS Comp 7’s we’re $1800 shipped. That’s enough of a difference that if I do ever buy another set, I would go with the RC’s. Billet Specialties had kind of a snotty attitude last time I talked to them too. I’ll remember that 😒

I'm definitely a low budget operation considering that I hardly ever get to the track anymore.

it is all about sponsorship on these kind of deals, most of the companies will sponsor you the parts you need for the advertisement.

I think it’s all about reaching different markets. They don’t care about what’s fair or “real”. If they did, you would have been making doughnuts instead of you know who. A perfect example of different markets is comparing Herman to Mr and Misses Hairbun in that video. 😂

I started watching the video and if I remember correctly you have to tub the car to get any kind of tire under it.
I remember cutting and rolling under the wheel well lip on mine to get a L60-15 on it without jacking it up to the sky.
