Ditch the hex head bolts for the rails. 1st time you need to take them off you will wish you did. I went with same style small head bolt you told me to use for the blower itself. I can use a ratcheting wrench now for the rails
Good idea, luckily I have a close quarters hex bit kit so it wasn’t that much of a pain. I installed the injectors and rails after the blower was tq’d down. Yes, it’s tight getting them in doing such.

I had to take them off to take injectors off and Jon was working on one he had to swap injectors, true pain

Gen 6 was developed already?
Yep, supposed to be a bit more efficient rotor design. Rotors are pinned to the shafts as well, and just a bit bigger.

Putting the Nick Williams 112 back on. Have a specially made adapter for it.

Look how much fatter the 3.8 is then the 3.0, rotor case protrudes into the intake runner area even.

But even the huge compared to stock TB the 112 looks puny and out of place on the huge inlet of the 3.8. I may have to go to the 130 just because of that, just doesn’t look right.

Correct but you are comparing a 3.0 to a 3.8. Gen 5 3.8 also has big inlet
My buddies Gen 5 3.8 hit as well, same spot, worse than mine. He had to grind much more off then I did.

Even with the spacers?
No, just gaskets, no spacers. With spacers unfortunately bypass motor hits the hood. You can cut the center member out of the hood and it will clear that’s just something I’m not up for doing. Keep the car to the point that if I ever needed to put it back to stock except for the engine internals, I can I have all the parts on hand still including the stock manual transmission, a new stock clutch and TOB assy, even a NIB 3.70 rear. I even have a whole set of spare leathers for the interior.

Unfortunately now I’m out of fuel pump, time for a third pump.

IMG_8282.jpeg

But man even with just 5 degrees of timing and slipping the thing pulled it’s highest third gear G force ever up the concrete test sloop bridge I do such on, .85 G’s of continuous acceleration. Felt GREAT!!!

First hurdle, stock fuel rails do not fit on the 3.8, there’s no mounting points for them provided :(

Next hurdle, without spacers blower snout is hitting block keeping it from mating to heads and sealing on gaskets. Good thing in look for this stuff. Hard to see it, I wonder how many are going to get tightened down without seeing this and have intake leaks and stress out into the blower housing!??

Cooling bricks are in the lid, they’re all the same 3.0 and 3.8 Gen 5 and 6 unless you get the thicker ones for use with a spacer. I have never seen a separate cooling block in the middle?

I have seen several 3.8s with the spacer in the middle, specifically the billet ones. @GNBRETT’s has one, I think a few others
