Track day July 4th with Motorhead.

I figured I would see what it read her being close to the airport an d actually being on the island. It is close enough for me to validate the Kestrel.

Are they perfect .... Nope but definitely better then a cell phone app . Heck the weather people can't even get it right with million dollar weather station equipment!

I picked up a Kestrel 5100. Looks like you need to put in altitude/barometer altitude on where you are so something to remember if going to different tracks.

Pulled up Dragtimes DA calculator and they lined up pretty close between temp, humidity, barometric pressure and DA. at my house. I'm about 25 minutes from the track (I'm closer to the airport where they may be getting the readings) We will see when I get to the track again
