The line to line coating takes the piston to cylinder clearance to super tight and then it wears to fit. To do this you have to spec the motor with that in mind. I see where it is used to bring a loose piston up to spec to keep from sleeving or replacing the piston. They make a case for it when you watch the videos. Not sure it’s worth the added cost (whatever it is for that stuff) on a new build. I have coated pistons in my current motor but didn’t pull the trigger on that for the new one just due to the question whether it’s worth the cost with a high quality piston. It ain’t cheap.

Sold supercharger and a bunch of parts so out of pocket is not a lot

I always keep the stock parts. Then I end up selling them dirt cheap when I'm done.

I watched a couple Steve Morris videos and I wasn't sure if it's only for engines that needs to be tightened up.

Well some more parts showed up. Was told block shipped haha. I’m 5 hours from bes that HHP uses for their blocks. 3 days later nothing. My pistons got tracking Thursday here today. It’s a joke I have custom made pistons show up before a in-stock block.
But here is some things that came

I will say the rest aad area are not worth the 1000 bucks for a .5 pounds savings.
The rear rotors I saved 9 pounds and front saved 10 pounds over the TCE brakes.
that was worth the 1000 bucks after I sold my old ones

They are only 1 pound lighter than stock ones per set

P5160138 it looks like (or 9 at the end). Can get it for $6k, it’s the hellephant aluminum block. Cancel order with HHP tell em to pound sand

Last I heard it’s a 426 block that Dodge quit making available to the public. Only for racing teams now? Amazing how light that thing is. Could easily pick it up with my bare hands. The bummer is it was sitting in my engine builders shop, ready to go into my 426 build when they were burglarized. Of course my block along with various other blocks, heads and supercharges were stolen so I couldn’t source another replacement. Ended up having to stroke a stock 392.
