I will say always helps to have a someone watching the burn out and watch the car go down the track. There’s been many times I have wondered how my burn out was.
I watched my cousin for years from the side. Never took it serious. I went to an event with @vortecd a few weeks ago and could tell him if he had burnout troubles or if something didn’t seem right. He has done it for me many times as well.
I can see the need for wanting to make sure you have someone at the track with you.
the level of professionalism may be the problem. You could def find a younger kid. 20ish. To travel around with you. They may just enjoy racing. But don’t expect anything professional.
Id enjoyed that before I got married and when I still lived at home. But I can tell you I’ve even learned a lot since I was 18 to 20

Everyone needs someone else with them. Racers do look out for other Racers but getting a video of the burnout, etc. always helps.

One of my friends that has an 8 second Mustang likes to have all of his runs on video so he can see what is going on

@vortecd it probably takes me 20 to 30 minutes to swap over the car, but you northern guys have it easy :) It's usually almost 90 degrees and I need a change of clothes after I'm done LOL. I'm a bit OCD and clean the wheel wells and apply some wax or other product on them while the tires are off so that does take a bit more time, plus cleaning out all the rubber before I put the street tires back on is another fun project

@DavidKFla I saw your trailer for sale and had to quickly close the thread LOL. I could definitely use that trailer but for me it would also mean buying a vehicle to tow with and renting space at a storage facility to store the trailer. Our HOA does not allow trailers :/

I have Crew Chief Greg video every single run possible. Video combined with a data log tell a very good story for setting up the car. Time well spent for sure.

Do you still do the clear, peelable, spray coating?

He told me that he misses the car.
I don’t think I said that but I am very satisfied that @vortecd is enjoying the car the way it should be! I knew it was pretty special when I got it but decided not to run it. Too much like work!:ROFLMAO:

Nice. Hydraulic? If it had a shield I'd be thinking about it.
It has a beavertail. My Charger drives up very easily.

I guess that I misunderstood you then.

You are correct. I did say I’m missing it. I enjoyed owning a fast car like and always had a pretty hot one in the garage. I still have a nice car but just not that hot anymore!(y)

I would encourage you to get over to Bradenton in March for the NMCA event and run the Hemi shootout. There was a pretty good crowd there this spring and you might find some help there, although that doesn't help you for the near term. I think just getting out to some events is good start. I am across the state in St Pete.

I'm trying to figure out a schedule for the upcoming year while I look for some help.
I'll be testing here shortly.
