Most Home cleaning units can not test injectors as accurately as ID can. I have a home unit, pretty good one at that, good for everyday normal car stuff but I send my ID injectors to ID for check out. But you have to specify if you do send them to ID that you want before cleaning test data and then after cleaning test data to know if they had an issue prior to cleaning or not or they will just clean and test them and see how they match after cleaning. Allot test fine at 2ms to WOT but get fouled around idle and part throttle reaking havoc if one or more are rich the other cylinders run lean from O2 sensor corrections for the rich ones. Seen it many times especially with pump flex fuel use.

My local dealer did. I brought my car to the dealership with my previously removed catalytic converters in the trunk and oxygen sensors and my stock PCM. And traded them for the new catalytic converters and box with the four new O2 sensors in it and they had to put my stock PCM back in the car, flashed it so their computer was happy That my car was done for the recall and then put my unlocked PCM back in the car for me and all has been well since, that’s the O2 sensors I used. I changed all four and haven’t had a problem since. the new catalytic converters are still in my attic for when they may be needed .

ID states at the very least these new injectors were repackaged by Fore. They had me send them the serial numbers to see if they were even matching.

The way fore works is they buy tons of injectors. They pull some from a box as needed by their clientele. Then they will put together a set of ID 1700s, new, and send them to ID to flow match. ID records the serial numbers and flow matches them. Then they go back to fore. Mine checked out as a matching set with ID. ID actually uses a company in Phoenix to flow test and match them. You learn something new every day.

The mechanic said raw fuel got into the exhaust and leaked into the starter.

You need a new mechanic. This the same guy that broke your passenger side pump?

Doesn’t sound plausible at all. Do you have long tube headers? Doesn’t make sense

I reread his e mail. He did not say what I said. He said fuel got into the exhaust AND fuel dripped down the open and leaking injector onto and into the starter. It was a ship show. Burnt 18 gallons in 30-35 miles.

Still doesn’t make sense on how fuel got on/in the starter. Crazy the car ran at all leaking that much fuel out of an injector
